A two-handed sword design for an elven character of mine.

Done after watching too much elven concept art on the Lord of the ring DVD.

It does not look elven enough to me, but it's not that bad... for a starting sword.

I will have hard time drawing a magic one XD.

It looks very Elven to me!! it has that very lovely curve that is typical of the concepts made for the movies. I could see a character name for Feanor, the most troublesome of the the Elven Lords that came from Valinor, wielding this weapon! =D

Well it was very Tolkien Inspired.

But the "Fëanor" is not the famous lord, tough he bears the same name. (in fact, I did not even know that this character existed when I named my character like this.) :D

As for the sword, if I were to do it again, I would add a bit more "finesse" to it. :)

That's amazing that you constructed the name Feanor on your own! Sorry, I'm a major Tolkien geek...it was the first thing that came to mind! ^^;

The only thing I would really change about the sword - since I love that protrusion at the end - is the hilt. It's really...pointy. As a swords-woman, it just looks a little uncomfortable to wield and really heavy. Just make it a little more practical and add that 'finesse' and think you have a very nice and unique blade! =D

Well this name must have been in my subconscious somehow. :XD: I must have read it in a Lord of the ring game, in the movies or the book somewhere. :P

You are right about the hilt tough, thanks for pointing it out! ^^

Feanor is located somewhere in the book appendixes after Return of the King.

And I'm glad I was able to help with the hilt - I just wish I had mentioned it sooner... ^^;

You know, it looks elven, with all of the runes and stuff, but something about it looks a bit Native American.

awesome! great concept and awesome design. great use of elven runes, what does it say? I love the spike/hook on the end, wouldn't want to get stabbed by that!. the design of the hilt is highly unique. Awesome!

The elven rune are only decorative; they do not have any meaning. But if I needed to put one, it would simply be "Sylvaneon's Legacy"
